All movies are projected in the aspect ratio that the directors intended them to be, in the newly renovated seat theater. How many theatres can boast such diverse lineup? I, for one, cant wait for holiday 1129 showing of Emmet Otters Jug Band. always come out of the theater with wide eyes and an opened mind, the films inspiring me to see and the world in new perspective. Given the glorious restoration job that theyve done on this movie palace, can understand not wanting people to be spilling their food and drink all over the place.

With all of the controversy and emotion surrounding this movie which, sadly, not enough people will ever to see, could write volumes about what that experience at the DFT meant to me. The DFT is affiliated withrun by the DIA. All movies are projected in the aspect ratio that the directors intended them to be, in the newly renovated seat theater.

DFT is extraordinary way for those interested in experiencing unique and idiosyncratic films that chain movie theaters often do not offer. dont see anything wrong with that! The only downside to the DFT is that you cant do the standard routine. Located within the Detroit institute of the Arts, the Detroit Film Theater has been the premiere spot to showcase independent, contemporary and world cinema in Detroit. How many theatres can boast such diverse lineup? I, for one, cant wait for holiday 1129 showing of Emmet Otters Jug Band.

DFT is extraordinary way for those interested in experiencing unique and idiosyncratic films that chain movie theaters often do not offer. Im big fan of movie popcorn, so at first this irked me, but dont much mind. Given the glorious restoration job that theyve done on this movie palace, can understand not wanting people to be spilling their food and drink all over the place. always come out of the theater with wide eyes and an opened mind, the films inspiring me to see and the world in new perspective. dont see anything wrong with that!

However, Ill kindly spare you, and simply praise the theatre and its schedule in general. At the moment, the upcoming DFT schedule includes documentary on artist Louise Bourgeois, several silent films accompanied by live piano score, and even special showings of films that are Detroitcentric. The DFT is affiliated withrun by the DIA.
